Pratik kitler hızlı analiz işlemleri için kullanılmaktadır.Kutudan çıkarılan stik çubuk analizi yapılacak sıvıya batırılır.Daha sonra kutu üzerinde bulanan renk skalası ile karşılaştırılır.Ph kağıdı kullanımı ile aynı mantığa sağiptir.Renk karşılaştırılması ile aralık tespit edilir.Her kutuda 100 adet stik bulunur.Labratuvarlarda yaptırılacak analizlere nispeten ortalama 50 kat  daha ekonomiktir.
